Jesus aims His sights targeting the religious Pharisees and Scribes. Seven times Jesus pronounces Woe. This section is more lawsuit or legal indictment then a Sunday sermon. Woe is a comprehensive term, both a charge and a verdict. True evil has been committed and without a charge in condition righteous punishment will come. It also includes compassion, sorrow, and regret. it does not delight in destruction or rejoice in condemnation instead it gives an appeal to repent.
